2003
Family-Owned Since
Wood-Fired Oven
850°F perfection
In 2003, Maria and Antonio Conti left their hometown of Bologna with a suitcase full of family recipes and a dream. They opened Bella's Italian Kitchen in Austin with a single wood-fired oven, a hand-cranked pasta machine, and an unwavering belief that food should tell a story.
Two decades later, their daughter Sofia now leads the kitchen alongside a team who treat every dish like a love letter to Italy. The pasta is still made by hand before sunrise. The oven still burns Texas oak. And the recipes? Still Nonna Bella's.
Pasta Made Fresh Every Morning
No dried pasta in our kitchen — ever. Our pasta team starts rolling at 7 AM, six days a week.
Imported Italian Ingredients
San Marzano tomatoes, Tipo 00 flour, 36-month Parmigiano, and DOP olive oils shipped direct from Italy.
4× Austin's Best Italian Restaurant
Austin Monthly, Austin Chronicle, and Austin Food & Wine Festival have all called us number one.
Don't take our word for it — here's what our beloved Austin guests have to say after dining with us.
"The tagliatelle al ragù made me tear up — I haven't tasted anything that reminded me so much of my grandmother's kitchen in Naples. Bella's is the real deal. I drive from Round Rock every single month."

"We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and Sofia personally came to our table to bring us a complimentary tiramisu. The cacio e pepe is the single best pasta dish in Austin. We've never had a bad experience in 8 years."

"As a food writer for Austin Chronicle, I've eaten at every Italian spot in this city. Bella's Prosciutto e Arugula pizza is in a category of its own. The wood-fired crust has a char that no brick oven in Texas can replicate."
